I would suggest using electrolysis. It's a lot less intrusive to the metal than wire wheels, etc.

Try using white vinegar to remove the rust ! A lot cheaper than Evapor-rust.

Stand that hammer up in a vice and put a few drops of linseed oil one the wood, keep doing that a couple of times a day for a week and the wood will swell back up and the head will be tight again.

I remember my Uncle Clem used a key like that for opening ground coffee sold in black cans, don't remember the brand. Loved the video, I'm going out to my shed to see what is hiding in the tool box I inherited from him. Thanks

Don't do a dumb thing and strip, stain, instead wash with soap and water let dry good clean with mineral sprit put supper light coat blond shellac you will ruin the value if you strip it

Thanks Magdad, there are some interesting items there, I've not seen a Stanley drill like that before agreed about the Bombay mahogany for the handles. That pasta cutter will clean up lovely I'm sure, and I like the little Stanley 299 too. The Butchers wax is a great find and the price was right, the pencil is definitely a sleeper ! 😉
